As a lean practitioner, leader or team member of a small or large organization, you may be asking yourself “ how do I start my first Kaizen event?”

APICS Tampa Bay, the premier professional association for supply chain management, invites local supply chain, operations, transportation, logistics and distribution professionals to our Professional Development Meeting on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the DoubleTree Hotel Tampa Airport Westshore, 4500 W. Cypress Street, Tampa, FL 33607.

Our guest speaker is Mr. Lucas Sauer, Senior Management Consultant with MAZ-tec & Associates, LLC. Luke will be speaking on the topic of “Lean: How to Start Your First Kaizen Event.”

Everyone has an opportunity, challenge or project that needs to be improved and why not start now using Kaizen? Keep in mind it is not a flavor of the month and is a commitment to yourself and your team!

This presentation will provide a road map to distinguish between a project or activity and a Kaizen event with case studies, and a framework to get started with a successful event.

Starting with several questions for management to answer through the event scoping, prep work and execution of that first event will be highlighted as well as lessons learned over hundreds of events.
